Mixed fortunes for north Pembrokeshire’s cricket teamsTorrential LLechryd slipped to their first defeat of the season in the Pembrokeshire League division three, after being dismissed all out for 118 against Pembroke Dock. The visitors reached their target for the loss of two wickets, to take 28 points for their efforts, with Llechryd taking two.Graham Keen made 25, and Ajeesh 26, but Llechryd struggled as Nick Daley returned 4 for 27, and N Britton 2 for 8.Jake Griffiths chased down the target with 64 not out, with support being provided by Scott Griffiths, 22, as Llechryd registered an eight-wicket victory.In division six, Llechryd Seconds dismissed Hundleton Seconds for 77 all out, as they claimed victory by 33 runs.Tom Beard took 4 for 13 and S Thomas 2 for 24, as only Stuart Midgelye, 17, Steve John, 14, and David Pratt 13, made any impression with the bat for Hundleton.Earlier, Llechryd’s wickets had tumbled to Dean Williams, with 5 for 20, Robson Walkey, 2 for 20, and R Strydon, 2 for 16 as they were dismissed all out for 110.• see County Ech... read on |
