GOODWICK United had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw with Herbrandston as goals from Rob Morgans, Lewis Banks and Rhys Dalling ensured that they remained hot on the heels on the frontrunners in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire League division one. United had travelled in good spirits after a good win at Tenby, but despite having the advantage of a strong wind, it was the hosts who took an early lead after just eight minutes. A free kick was played in to Scott Reid, who controlled with his left foot, and fired a right-footed strike high into the far corner of the net.The hosts gave Goodwick little time to settle as they struggled to break into the box, but on half an hour, home keeper Gareth Marshalsay did well to keep out Rhys Dalling’s fierce shot.Goodwick, however, drew level in injury time when they won possession on the half-way, and broke quickly forward for Rob Morgans to fire home with a tremendous strike.
